Multiple truths, space for reconciliation
Oral history is a truth shaped by personal context. The memory of someone who lived it differs from the history book — and from how politics and media frame the story later. Those truths rarely meet.
The translation
Truths side by side, not opposed
The form: a knowledge & perspective platform. The same Murmur engine places multiple perspectives systematically side by side — personal memory, historical fact and public narrative — without judging. This creates a living archive and space for understanding and reconciliation, with the stories and the data kept in your own hands.
In practice: together with SDGHUB in the Gestolde Lava heritage platform, and in the intergenerational dialogue project Vrijheid in het Hoofd ("Freedom in the Mind") — with dialogue tables, a podcast and a living archive around long-silenced history, in which the second generation forms the 'hinge' between what could not be said and what can be passed on.
